25+ Years of This Community Event From the Manitou Springs Kiwanis Club
Fun For All Ages!
Please plan to bring your kids, grand-kids, your neighbors and yourselves to this yearly event. For several years now it is held at our Fellowship Hall and Santa will be in attendance to listen to all those special requests and add to the anticipation of the season. Suggested donation: $4.00 children, 2 and under free, adults $7.00.
Again this year, we are hoping to have church members attend who will dress in holiday colors, give “tours” of the church, and share a bit of historical lore along with a occasional effort to ring the church bell. Contact Linda Baker who is coordinating this Tour Project.
Historical Tidbit: The belfry over the entrance was added and a bell installed in 1888. The bell was brought over the prairie in a Conestoga wagon from the Maryland McShane Bell Foundry (Glen Burnie, Maryland, established: 1856), trademark 1888, bell number 705, and bears the inscription, “I ring for God, home and native land.”
