Annual Celebration 2018:

Tipping Toward the Enduring Good

If you can represent our church and attend…please see Rev. Gaye

You’re Invited!
We are pleased to invite you to the 44th Annual Celebration & Meeting of the Rocky Mountain Conference, June 7-9, 2018 at La Foret Conference & Retreat Center in Black Forest, CO! The meeting will be hosted by the Metropolitan Denver Association.
Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés writes: “Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach. Any small, calm thing that one soul can do to help another soul, to assist some portion of this poor suffering world, will help immensely. It is not given to us to know which acts or by whom, will cause the critical mass to tip toward an enduring good.”
This year’s theme, Tipping Toward the Enduring Good, is inspired by the above excerpt from her poem, “We Were Made for These Times.”Special Guests
Our Keynote Speaker & Workshop Facilitator will be Bruce Reyes-Chow. He is a prolific and celebrated author whose latest book is Rule #2: Don’t Be an Asshat (An Official Handbook for Raising Parents & Children).

Soul Time:
An Optional Spiritual Retreat To strike the balance of energizing discussions and vital downtime—and because the meeting is one day shorter—we are offering an optional spiritual retreat at La Foret. The retreat will begin Saturday afternoon after the meeting, and will run through 10 a.m. on Sunday. Your hosts will be Conference Minister Rev. Sue Artt and Associate Conference Minister Rev. Erin Gilmore, who will offer a few optional activities and the chance to meet with them one-on-one.
If you have any questions, please contact Erin. We hope you will join us for this spiritually enriching, soul-fortifying retreat!
