John Anderson, author and historian, will give a slide presentation about the cultural and historical significance of the Ute Prayer Trees in the Pikes Peak region. These Culturally Modified Trees are believed to have been cultivated between 150-450 years ago, and they are found throughout Colorado. Mr. Anderson will also provide information on where you can see these trees in the Colorado Springs area. Everyone is welcome! Refreshments will be served.
