Who We Are

Untitled design (1)_edited.png

We have a long, proud history of serving the people of Manitou Springs Colorado. Through the dedication of our members and volunteers, staff and clergy, we express the Gospel through our actions in the world.

We are open to worshippers of all ages and backgrounds. And we mean ALL. We live out an inclusive faith by including and empowering the LGBTQIA+ community in membership and leadership.

We believe that there are many paths to the Divine. Our community is diverse in thought, generous of heart and accepting in how we practice our faith. The walk together is to grow and deepen our personal connection to God, to know more and more about Jesus Christ, and, ultimately, belong to a dynamic, vibrant faith community.

Our Belonging

THE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

We belong to a larger mainline denomination called The United Church of Christ. The mission of the UCC is "United in Spirit and inspired by God’s grace, we welcome all, love all, and seek justice for all."Our denomination has a history of "firsts": First to ordain an African American, Rev Lemuel Haynes, in 1785, first to ordain a woman, Rev Antoinette Brown, in 1853 and first to ordain an openly gay man, Rev. William Johnson, in 1972. The UCC is known for our prophetic faith. We seek justice for all of God's children.
